Bill Mull

Hello, my name is BIll Mull and I am the seventh grade science teacher at Godwin Middle School.  I grew up attending West Godwin Elementary as well as the Godwin Middle and High School.  From there, I attended Western Michigan University where I graduated with a degree in elementary education, with emphasis in math, science, and English.  I have also since obtained a master's degree in education from Grand Valley State University.

I have taught at the Middle School and West Godwin Elementary since 2003 and have been teaching seventh grade science since 2016 (I also taught seventh grade science from 2005 to 2008).  I am happy to be back to focusing on science because my strongest passion for teaching involves teaching students about the environment and responsible management of our resources and ecosystems.  I have extensive training through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Grand Valley State University's Groundswell program, and a variety of other agencies.  I use this knowledge to teach project-based education programs including completing watershed projects, completing studies at Michigan state parks, and raising salmon in the school for spring release.  I also organize two after school science clubs (Green Club and amusement park physics) to teach interested students about science topics they are interested in.
